Business Development Manager E-Commerce
As the Business Development Manager within our E-Commerce team, you will play a crucial role in the future growth of Maurten by helping us change the way we serve our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying online growth opportunities for Maurten’s product categories across different global markets and customer acquisition channels. This leads to driving initiatives for growth in global online sales.
Job responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the digital product ecosystem and take on strategic projects to expand it
- Work closely with the commercial and operations team to optimize the long-term forecasting process
- Develop and/or optimize a product performance reporting mechanism
- Analyze customer engagement in acquisition channels, product sales across countries and user behavior on the website in partnership with our Customer Success Manager
- Work closely with the E-commerce DTC lead and the Campaign & Content Manager to transform data into product marketing activities and integrate them into the marketing plan
- Conduct research to identify new markets, new customer acquisition channels and customer needs
- Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee a future-proof platform and its technical expansion to increase our brand exposure across different channels and new customer groups
Who are you?
We are looking for an experienced candidate who possesses a data-driven approach to creating market, category, and product strategies. With a keen analytical and entrepreneurial mindset, you have a proven track record of making decisions based on data analysis, which has led to successful outcomes. You thrive in ambiguity and possess the ability to break down complex situations into actionable steps.
As an excellent communicator and team player, you work effectively with members of the organization and are able to navigate diverse cultures with ease. Above this, we expect you to have:
- BA/BSc degree in Business or related subject
- 2-3 years of professional experience working in Commercial and/or Business Development roles
- Excellent skills in English; at least one other European language would be beneficial.
This role is primarily based in Munich, Germany, but for the ideal candidate, Berlin is also a possibility.
